Weekly Writer Update 72: Dec 17-23

Author's Life:

      Being on vacation has been so good for me. I was not in the proper brain space to write or edit or handle anything book related, EXCEPT art. I’ve drawn, worked on renders, and the cover for Chaos Theory (coming April 2025). I’ve also played DiD, SWTOR (Star Wars the Old Republic MMO RPG), and been working on my self-care again. As I said in the intro, I’m beginning to feel like myself again. ^_^ Oh! I also turned 31 on Sunday. ^_^; 

Writing & Editing:

     I’ve not done any writing. I have done a couple editing stints, but not for myself, for friends that wanted some “Professional” advice. I am still trying to wrap my head around being a “professional” anything.  (0.0)

Publishing:

An Angel’s Advent:

       The hardcover copies of AN ANGEL’S ADVENT arrived on Thursday! BUT I’m still waiting on the bookmarks, which I’m hoping to get a 3rd order of soon. The first two were botched and I’ve gotten them replaced, but now I’m also left with over 3 dozen bookmarks that all have quality issues. (^_^;) I have gotten the art print proofs and approved them, so they won’t take long.

Cry Havoc:

       The power of networking with other authors, like Jennifer Robbins of Books and Beer LLC has me absolutely floored. She is so easy to work with, and I now have nearly 30 ARC readers and have added nearly 15 betas to my already 15 beta long list. If you would still like to sign-up to beta read, you have one more week. Cut off for beta reading sign-up is January 1st! ARC reading isn’t until March, so the cut off date for that is February 29th.

Art Feature:

     This week, I decided to take time and redo a picture I drew back in 2018 of Beryx and Kalista, except I put a Christmas spin on it for the render. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
