The One with a Sleep Schedule 😱
Well, the sleep schedule is fixed. I've been getting 6.5-7.5 hours of sleep, but my concentration is new non-existent. I’ve been doing a lot of bouncing from one thing to the next, doing more chores, art, and editing than writing. This coming week is Hobby Retreat too, so hopefully come the last week of October I can get back to writing again before November's New Novel Challenge.

This month's banner feature's Kalista and Chaos at a Halloween/Birthday bash for Kalista.
Also featuring Elsinore in the background in the coffin.
Author's Life:
Life was busy. I got 3 “Episodes” edited for my writer friend, AJ, and got to watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice for the first time Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Besides that, I sent a package to my Emotional Support Australian on Tuesday, checked on my dad while Mom was at the first half of the hobby retreat I’ll be headed to Mon-Thurs, and had lunch with Dad and my sister yesterday. Today is a relax and rest day. Tomorrow we’re going to lunch with my grandparents. 🥰
In between all of that I edited 3 of 6 "episodes" of my friends book. I also did some extra editing in An Angel Falls, because I was making art from the book and found typos. 😣 So, I read through the last few chapters to check if there was anything else. Only found 3 things in Chapter 23 that got missed by everyone (including me) because it was in the middle of the fast paced "shit hits the fan" section.
The work Life:
Writing:
LIFE AFTER YOU was at 50,070 and is now at 50,198… Then I started another short story which now has 3,191 words. That’s all I’ve done this week… So, I think this marks the lowest word count of the year at…
Total word count for the week: 3,319 words
Editing:
Maxine’s still working through DEADLY SIRENS…
I’ve managed to edit a bit of Chapter 4 of Cookies and Rage… And 3 Episodes of The Graduates by AJ Sims, which is a sort of sequel to his fantasy duology A Warrior's Code & A Warrior's Code 2: Displaced in Shadow. If you like Fantasy books with elves, dwarfs, and magic which will lead into a sci-fi series, you'll love these books!

Art Feature:
This week’s art is a piece from An Angel Falls that was a beta favorite. Here we have Max looming over Lucifer while Kalista and Beryx stand out of focus in the foreground and Michael, Julian, and Katerina are in the background out of focus. SNIPPET BELOW!
From Chapter 12 of An Angel Falls
“Kalista, Beryx, let’s move away from the plane, shall we?” Packana said, and we followed him over to the car. Max walked up to us, and I met his eyes or where they would be behind his shades.
“Lou, what’s this about?” Max asked, which wasn’t like him. Usually, he’d just tell Packana to fuck off and whisk me away.
“It doesn’t concern you,” Packana said, and Max crossed his arms over his chest. He’d angered the hound and was about to get a reminder that Max was not the hound he wanted, but the hound I needed.
“If it involves Titch and Badger, it is my concern,” he loomed over Packana who glared up at him. Max treated both of us like his kids, and come hell or high water, he was not going to let someone, even if that someone was my biological father, hurt his kids.
“Max, this is not the time for you to be protective and overbearing. I am not going to hurt my daughter,” Packana said, emphasizing the last two words.
“Well, that’s a change,” Max challenged, aura burning as his eyes glowed behind his shades. As much as I would’ve loved to let Max punch his lights out and flee the scene, we couldn’t. Not with paparazzi less than five hundred feet away.
I stepped from Beryx’s side, and between them.
