The One with the ER Visit...
Going to the hospital for any reason isn’t great, going because you think you may have appendicitis doubly so… especially a week before your birthday.

Author's Life:
Monday morning, 2 hours after I went to bed, I was woken up by right side pain. My IBS pain is on the left, so I figured this was just a pulled muscle or something. I rolled over and the pain got worse, going to extreme measures. Coming downstairs I felt off, so checked my temperature, and it was a low grade 99°F. This coupled with the pain that wouldn’t ease, made me give in and ask my mom to take me to the Emergency Room just in case it was appendicitis.
We got there around 10 a.m. Bloodwork was done, a Cat Scan too, and a few other workups. All were “within normal ranges” though there was signs of inflammation, so I was given Toradol and told it may be IBS flare or possibly a small ovarian cyst that ruptured, since I have IBS and PCOS. Though nothing was seen on the Cat Scan (which was both with and without contrast).
Since then, I’ve had little to no appetite, have eaten small things, and when I do eat my stomach and abdomen tend to hurt for a bit. This may also be part of a stomach bug/virus going around too, but I’m unsure. I have a follow up appointment with my Primary Physician on the 18th (that’s the soonest they had) and just trying to rest and recoup until then.
The work Life:
Writing:
The Stolen Soulmate, which had 68,195 words last week and is FINISHED at 73,875 words last Saturday night, which is only 5,680 but I didn’t stop there!
I immediately started rewriting Dani Rae and The Fish, the 2nd of the KaliLing novels. It has changed a LOT since the first draft essentially because of The Stolen Soulmate and Dani’s role in that book, since she is a side character and the Main POV of the Epilogue. It went from 4,284 words (Which I wrote back in October) to 45,860 words as of last night.
Total word count for the week: 47,256 words
Update on Writing Ridiculous Goal:
My goal is to write 1,000,000 words by the end of the year. This week’s 47,256 just proves that it can be done and before the year is out! At the moment, the total word count is 962,140 which is only 37,860 words left to go. I should be able to do that this week, barring any unforeseen circumstances. I’m praying that none come up.
Editing:
Matt and I have started editing and reading through The Fated Angel (book 7 of the Created Angel Chronicles). We’ve not read a lot this week. Only got to chapter 14. >_< I wanted to do more but have been sleeping when I’d normally read to him, so missed my opportunity.

We start off with Astrid as she faces possibly losing her mentor and possibly her job after a nearly 6 week probation after blowing up a city block back in the short story Snacks & Revenge, which was in the back of Cry Havoc.
Beta Reading will be From February 13th to March 20th. The book is 519 pages with the extras, it is 112,664 words over 23 chapters with a prologue from her mother, Kalista’s perspective.

Art Feature:
This week’s art isn’t Christmas or Yule themed because I’ve not done anything like that. This week, I’ve been doing art for Dani Rae and the Fish, and realized I didn’t have a picture with Dani and her parents, Kalista and Beryx. So, this one came about. We have Beryx with his bike on the left and Kali with hers on the right, and Dani smack dab in the middle.
