It’s that time of year again, the time of year to celebrate your relationship status with your partner, or your single friends. Why? Commercialism. Anyhow, I’m not doing anything besides reading this weekend... because I'm still sick.

Author's Life:
No surprise there. I had a head cold last week due to lack of sleep and all of Dale’s coworkers being sick, but I got hit with a double whammy. First was the 24-48 hour flu Saturday-Monday, then a head cold settled in Monday/Tuesday, Thursday it migrated down into my chest, so I went the to the Doctor’s Friday.
I have an upper respiratory infection and got antibiotics, so hoping I can kick it this week. So, today, I’m relaxing at home with my husband and reading the newest Carly Spade novel “Faeries & Frost” which is the 2nd of her new series, the Mythical Mates of Arcane Cove series. I’ll probably devour it just like I did book 1, “Witches & Wine.” Carly is a gem and one of my favorite authors, go check out her website!

Also, Matt (My manager/Emotional Support Australian) had an angiogram on Friday, because his doctor was a bit worried about some markers he saw on some tests. Turns out he's had a "silent heart attack" at one point and now needs some clean up work. He has to travel 2 hours to have open heart surgery on the 26th with admission the 25th. He'll be there for a bit, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers... as well as me, cause I'm gonna be left Unsupervised... 😱

This week, BALLAD OF THE WINGED WRATH went from 52,285 to 64,500! Not bad for being sick and working on the book covers this week. I made the cover of it and the sequel DIRGE OF THE BETRAYED this week. I can't show them off in full, but the feral goblin artist in me wanted to give a lil sneak peak so here you go... (see picture)
I wrote the "betrayal scene" for BALLAD and instead of getting sad and mopey, Aleta was enraged and is planning her revenge… Sounds about right for the Angel of Judgement, Vengeance, and Wrath.

Editing:
Editing is a slog right now with brain fog and inability to focus on book without falling asleep. I’ve managed to do almost a full chapter of AN ANGEL ENRAGED yesterday while waiting on the doc and for dinner... 0 for FATED ANGEL between the sickness, sleep issues, and Matt’s medical appointments and our being mutually worried, we’ve not been able to get anything done.

We’re having a bit of a slow start due to having to switch from Discord to Root app, since Discord is now using more AI features and having age verification bullshit, besides making dumb decisions and focusing more on the teenage bracket, which is just begging for a lawsuit.
Anyway! 1 of 12 have already finished and submitted their survey... (It was Matt, he was on top of it. It was a good distraction)
