Flares hurt...

Chronic Illness and Pain have been elevated in new not fun ways, which have made doing anything hard. I’m thinking about calling the doctor on Monday, but I’m not sure that’ll work out.

Smashwords July Sale Image with all my books on it!

Reminder of sales:

Insurance is paid for this month, but it’s time to get a start for next month… plus, doctors visits aren’t cheap and neither is testing. You can help by commissioning art, short stories, or buying eBooks!

Author's Life:

This week has been awful with my arthritis flaring, my IBS flaring, and weird abdominal discomfort that I’m unsure if it’s IBS or if it’s something new. It’s to the point where sleeping is difficult because I’m a side sleeper, things shift, and feel “wrong” but that’s hard to explain… I thought I’d just pulled a muscle, but it’s been over a week. Which is my usual “Time to call the doctor” cut off, especially now that doctor’s visits are going to be more expensive.

I was lucky to get a good night of concentrated writing sprints one day this week, logging 8.4k words. The same day I cooked dinner and did the dishes, but had to lay down on the floor twice due to feeling as if I was going to pass out… I think it was shoulder/neck tension, but I’m not 100% sure. I just deal with it and move on.

The Books:

Writing:

Autumn’s Equinox was at 65,556 words, this week it has 79,875. It would've been 80,000 had I not been working on getting Autumn's back tattoo on her model. I also edited through all of the next Kalista book, A Dangerous Game (Kalista book 8) and added a few hundred words… And I blew the July Word Count Goal out of the water!

The Total word count for this week: 14,710 words

July Word Count Goal: 65,000 current progress 102.8% (66,827 words)

Editing

Beta readers are technically “finished” with the book. And the results haven’t changed; They weren’t expecting the cliffhanger, and they want more. My work here is done 😉

Also, 6 of 7 finished. One didn’t even really get to start due to internet issues and family health emergencies. 🥺

Publishing:

𓆩⚝𓆪 Out Now 𓆩⚝𓆪

Cookies & Rage is out now! You can get physical copies on Amazon, and ebooks everywhere else. Also, you can order straight from me for either one too… that’s how I get the most revenue.

Cookies & Rage, the parallel of Deadly Sirens, and first of the KaliLing Novels.

I do have 3 “dented” Paperback copies for discount,
if you would like it you can leave a comment or send me an email.

Art Feature & Snippet

This week, art is still slow because I’ve been working on the comic commission, BUT I did take a little break to make a couple pieces between the comic pictures. Today, I’m going to give you one that was a requested piece from Matt. This 1959 Eldorado came up on the website for models, and he said the gold version screamed “Goldilocks”, so here we have Nevari, Aka the Golden Bitchtress, the Evil Queen, and “Goldilocks” sitting on the hood of said car.

If you would like art like this or a short story, you can commission me and help me pay for health insurance (and care), car fixes, and unexpected expenses!

Feel free to leave me a comment at the bottom of the page about what you thought or if you had a question. I'll reply... promise.

Congrats on surviving another week! Even with everything not going great, it sounds like you did amazing, and the best you could. That’s all anyone can ever ask of you, and I’m proud of you! Congrats on blowing your word count goal out of the water!
