The pattern is that if I socialize for more than 3 days, I have a klutzy week. What does this mean? Well, it means I’ve injured myself again, but at least it’s not major this time and I can semi-function. A not so great way to enter into August…

Author's Life:

      Good things first: Got to have my cousin, Joy, here for a few days and that’s always fun/relaxing 😁. We had family dinner on Sunday, which was where the first of my injuries happened. I whacked my head on the tire swing while ducking under it. My Mom and Uncle both said, “Ouch, I felt that one,” and yes, it still causes headaches. Not so good. But I got to take Joy home with me, and we had a good couple days of gaming and writing together.

     Wednesday was our annual “girl’s Day Out” where the girls (Mom, Nana, Aunt, Joy, my sister, and myself) go shopping then have lunch and end with ice cream from Dairy Queen. It was a good day, but I was hurting by the end. Hip, leg, and head. Not great.

     Thursday, I had a headache, which messed with my spatial awareness and hand eye coordination… I accidentally “punched” the microwave when I went to put my plate in it because I didn’t lower my arm enough. It was hard enough to move the microwave… I took some skin off my first knuckle on my right hand, it’s bruised and has a bump but minimal pain (as of writing this, I expect it to change tomorrow).

     Friday, I whacked my head on a cupboard door, and pinched two fingers (different instances) while putting away groceries… Also, not good. So, yeah, it’s been a bad week for injuries, but I enjoyed spending time with family. I need about 2-3 weeks to de-people now.

      Autumn’s Equinox was at 79,875 last newsletter. This week, I had a hard time writing due to headaches, side pain (weirdness), and also working on art. I did get a few thousand words in though… It’s at 85,980 words now. It’s nowhere near done yet though. Oops! BUT still blew the July Word Goal out of the water!

     Total word count for this week: 6,105 words

July Word Count Goal: 65,000 current progress 112.2% (72,932words)

August Goal: 65,000 

Editing

    Now that Beta reading is finished, it’s time to get The Fated Angel ready for dad, and reading Kalista Book 8: A Dangerous Game to Matt again now that the rewrite has finished. Plus, I'm supposed to be red pen editing Death, Desires, and Inner Demons. 🫣

      I’ve been working on art this week, but I kinda don’t wanna show it off, for multiple reasons, but I’ll do it anyway. Second look at my Sapphic Romance, Autumn's Equinox. This is Nemain and Autumn in the courtroom. This scene hasn’t happened yet, but I will be writing it this week, hopefully. It promises to be... entertaining.
