19 days!

       19 days until the Anniversary Editions release! Crunch time is here and oof, this week wasn’t kind to me. I also remembered that Indie Author Day (& Book Fair) is next Saturday… and I have half a table I get to peddle my books at. Social Anxiety is screaming now, but hopefully, it’ll all work out.

Author's Life:

     Time for normal life dump. If you’re looking for Book stuff… there is some in here, but more in the next few sections. If you missed last weeks, “Short Story” newsletter, I’ve had SEVERAL people who said I need to do more like that. So It may become a quarterly thing. I don’t know yet. Sound off in the comments at the bottom of the Newsletter after the art and social stuff.

Here’s the week in review:

• Saturday: (Halloween)
  We went to my grandparents house, Dale helped Papa get their house and gazebo “winterized” while Nana and I baked and caught up. Then when we got home, I got straight to art for the NSFW page and then back into the Weekend WIP “The Clueless Cowboy and The Melancholy Muse” (working title, may change to just “The Cowboy and the Muse”) before heading to bed.
• Sunday: 
  was a good day, I worked on the Weekend WIP more and doubled the word count again this weekend. (find out count and stuff in the next section).
• Monday:
  as they’re want to be, was the worst day this week. The weather swung for the warmer and my body complained so much. All of my usual aches (head, back, teeth, hip, knee, and now ankle) were absolutely atrocious, plus I had sinus and ear issues. So, I didn’t get to edit more of A Broken Redeemer like I wanted, and instead spent all day puttzing around in Daz Studio creating art, which I won’t be showing you all until a later date… or over on DeviantArt… I need to post there more.
• Tuesday:
  most of the pain leveled out, I voted, the paperbacks of An Angel Enraged FINALLY arrived, so I packed them and shipped them out in the afternoon. I also got a call from the orthopedic and asked if I could come in Thursday not Friday, which worked well. I also did gaming with a couple friends, so no edits then either.
• Wednesday:
   I had a little errand run and put gas in the car to prep for Thursday. I also cooked dinner and did a few household chores. A chapter of edits, maybe, and more art/tried to edit. Before heading to bed before midnight. I also got the last of the hardcovers in but I've been so busy or had no spoons after doing things that I haven't even opened the box.
• Thursday:
  I had my orthopedic appointment at 10:45 and then grabbed lunch before stopping into a Barnes & Noble with a Café to edit for a few hours before heading home. Then I gamed some too.
• Friday:
  I got up early, ran errands, stopped at a café for some more editing, then came home only to find our dryer had stopped working. I panicked, but after that I hit the internet to search common things that break and how to fix it. It’s just a belt, which is the easier of the problems.
  So, we got it ordered (thank you Lilah) and I’m going to be putting it on when it arrives, with help from a YouTube video and hopefully (fingers crossed) it works again. After the panic and the finding the fix, I didn’t just have no spoons, Panic took the cabinet and ran off with it and Pain was right there to cause issues after that. So, I didn’t get any more editing done. Instead, I worked on more art…

Indie Author Day 2026:

    I completely pushed this to the farthest reaches of my mind because of social anxiety, but I am one of the authors who will be "presenting/Selling" their books in the book fair. I am freaking out cause I only have "imperfect" copies on hand and no money or time to get other copies. So, it is what it is and after the last convention, I have little to no confidence about selling any books while I'm there, but it shall be what it shall be. And I'll use all the things from the lost one. Though I'm going to have to do a different set up, since it's only half a table...

    Anyway, if you're in the Buffalo Area on the 14th, between 10-4, you should come on over and check it out.  Book Fair opens at 11 and closes at 4. I will be there the whole 5 hours.

November Sales/funds Goal:

Goal: $300

This month’s goal break down for transparency:
$200 medical bills to do with ankle and Follow-up visits
$100 for Emergency fund-building up again.

When this goal is met:

    If we get this met, I’ll write up a short story for Chaos since the other goal wasn’t met. AND I’ll have a raffle for anyone who contributes to the goal. $3 ko-fi donation or purchasing anything from my shop whether that’s a sticker, a digital wallpaper, commission and what now (Commissions get 3-5 entries, depending on the value). Winner will get a chibi PFP like these below.

     Total word count for this week: 16,112 words

Editing

     I’m up to Chapter 16 of A Broken Redeemer! Only 7 more chapters to edit and the Epilogue to write, then it’s off to Lilah and Deanna before Matt and April. I’m still waiting on Matt and April to get back to me with A Brave Sacrifice…
