Weekly Newsletter 143: May 3

Happy May!

APRIL IS OVER!

It felt like such a long month with one thing after another happening, but it’s over, and I’m hoping this much is better. Especially given all the awesome things that are coming up as I prep for Beta Reading in June! PLUS, the Paperback and Hardcover pre order of the Omnibus is open!

Author's Life:

April was a long month with so many issues, and I’m glad it’s over. Bella is doing MUCH BETTER! She’s acting like her normal self, her gastric issues have seemingly disappeared after a full week of runs, and I’m getting better sleep again. I’m hoping this is a good sign for this month as I prep for An Angel Falls Beta reading next month and spread the word about the Omnibus being available for pre order.

This week, Bella improved, and I had a not so fun appointment with my gastroenterologist. I’m going to have more testing in August (soonest appointment) because they don’t like the “episodes” I’m having. They don’t happen often every other month or so, but they’re bad when they do happen. I’ll keep you all posted about what they find this time around September since that’s the follow up after the procedure.

     Now, to the work update!

The work Life:

Writing:

I’ve been working on finishing up Miseria’s book (Death, Desires, and Inner Demons {2029}). It was at 66,466 last week, and it’s now at 78,540 words! That’s 12,074 words. It’s been a bit slower due to finishing it up and having that doctor’s appointment, plus the other work stuff. Gonna see if I can’t finish it this weekend then get to editing Deadly Sirens {2026}.

Editing:

Maxine is hoping to finish chunk 3 of 4 for An Angel Falls today! Beta reading sign-ups for this book are now open! If you have read books 1-5 or think you can before June 13th, go check out the info on the Beta Reading page.

Publishing:

Kalista Chronicles Omnibus comes out in almost a month! It’s up for eBook pre order on Amazon, Libby, and all the rest too! AND the Paperback and Hardcovers are now available for Pre Order too! I already have one order for the Hardcover too!

Don’t forget that there is a 50% off sale for the first three eBooks in the Kalista Chronicles too! That’s 3 books for just $4.44 USD ($1.48 per book). Just head on over to itch.io to take advantage of the offer! If you've already read them, Tell your friends so they can read them too!!

Art Feature:

The only art I made this week was the Cover of Death, Desires, & Inner Demons, but I’m not going to spoil it, since it doesn’t release until April of 2029. You’ll just have to wait. 😜for this week, I’ve pulled out a picture that’s I made specifically for the Omnibus and hasn’t appeared anywhere else. This is from Chapter 22 of A Born Angel, when Michael confesses to Kalista. Not telling you what because someone who hasn’t read it might be reading this. 🤭
