The One with The beta Reading
Beta Reading of An Angel Falls has started, and signups for Beta Reading Deadly Sirens have started. Since that begins in the end of August. I also need a distraction from life as we’ve had some not-so-great family issues, so I’m grateful to have the betas reading again.
Author's Life:
The family news. Last Saturday, my Great Uncle Dave had a stroke, and he was put into a medically induced coma. On Sunday, his organs started to fail, and we were told he had days left. He died on Thursday morning.
Weirdly, Thursday morning I went to bed at 4:30 am and had a dream about a family reunion and a long dead relative showing up. When I woke up, I had this sense of peace and feeling that he passed. I messaged my mom for news, and found out. Anyway, because of this, I will be driving down to North Carolina for his funeral with my grandparents on Tuesday, so I may be a bit absent on the social media front until I get back, possibly on Thursday.
Wednesday, my father-in-law had a follow up appointment with his doctors and got some bad news too. I won't say what news or anything here, as we're all still processing and they're looking at the next steps, but if you’re the praying sort, please keep my father-in-law in your prayers.
The work Life:
Writing:
Cookies & Rage was at 57,030 words last week. It’s now at 66,000 exactly. Macha’s book (tentative title: Life After You) was 6465, and is now at 19,635, which makes a total of 22,140 words…

Publishing:
Beta reading for An Angel Falls started yesterday, and as usual, Matt (My ESA, Emotional Support Australian) has already finished, and submitted the “survey.” Others are starting later this evening, and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say! I need the dopamine after the bad news of this week.

Another picture of Kalista and Beryx, this time with Alkyone from the scene on the beach in Chapter 4. This is an intense scene and you find out a lot of info about what’s going on behind the scenes. Not going to insert any dialogue or snippet though, because it’s too spoilery.
