It’s Omnibus release weekend, AND My 12^th wedding anniversary tomorrow! The paperbacks are late, goals for June, and there was another amazon snafu with Deadly Sirens. 🙄I really think they should drop their printer in Cleveland. Those copies are 95% of the time messed up.

Author's Life:

    First things first, NEW GOALS for the month.

1) Writing:
      55,000 words. I know I did more than that last month, but I also have to be on top of betas this month, so writing will take a hit.

2) Editing:
      I’ve not really got anything to edit right now. Deadly Sirens will go to my dad, which I have to go in and use correction tape to go over parts I don’t think he’ll want to read/see, so I guess there’s that. 😅

3) Sales
     Shooting for 20 again, but I already feel a failure coming. Since We’re seven days into the month with nary a sale in sight… Unless we count Discord’s Nightmare being in a Pride Bundle over on itch.io for the month. You can get Discord’s book and 17 others for only $27! If we count that, I’ve already gotten 12 sales this month… I’m not going to though, because that’s a bundle so it’s not just my work.

      Now, for How the week went. First the Amazon SNAFU!

      I ordered the proof copy I was talking about in the Editing bit. It arrived yesterday with just one problem… It’s missing the first 6 pages. So, someone f*cked up and didn’t cut the books right. I hope whoever got the first few pages might go look up my other books, since one of the pages is “Also by Jenn A. Morales” with a list of my books. 😅

     On Thursday afternoon, I got locked out of the house for a couple hours, because Bella pulled me out as I was reaching for the keys. She was excited to go for a car ride, even if it was to the vet to get her annual shots.

      Then Friday, Dale and I went to my grandparents house for the weekly yard work, then out to the “RIB FEST” nearby. We enjoyed the time with my grandparents, but it was a bit loud for us (even though it was kinda small, due to the weather not being great) and since it was an outside venue, people were smoking weed. I’m just grateful it was a breezy day, so all I had to do was hold my breath for a count of ten for the fog to clear. I did still get a migraine, but I was expecting it. I really need to get a mask for when I go places.

The work Life:

Writing:

     I was 46,205 words into Cookies & Rage last week. Today the book has 57,030 words. I’ve also added another new Work in Progress about Macha, who was introduced in Cry Havoc, and returns in Deadly Sirens. It went from 1,007 words to 6465, which is a total of 16,283 words across both documents for the week.

Editing:

    Maxine is finished with An Angel Falls! and Dad starts The Deadly Sirens soon as I can get the new copy in and corrected.

     This week is a cute picture of Kalista and Beryx on the beach from chapter 3 of An Angel Falls, which you may or may not have noticed is the picture for this month’s header. I won’t spoil anything for the Beta’s who will get to read this chapter come Friday 😉
