This week, I went on a road trip with my parents and grandparents for a funeral. Beta Reading of An Angel Falls is well underway. ALSO, THIS MARKS 150 WEEKLY NEWSLETTERS! So, we're going to celebrate. News about that at the end as a reward for slogging through this rather rambling update.

Author's Life:

 WARNING: LONG SECTION THIS WEEK!

TLDR: Had a long road trip, left Monday, arrived home Thursday 1:30, I fell not twelve hours later. I'm fed up with FedEx, and tomorrow Hubby and I travel 2.5 hours to meet his sister's beau.

      Sunday, we celebrated Father’s Day with a bunch of family at Nana and Papa’s house. Monday, we started out on our trip in a rented minivan. Dad drove most of the time as he can’t do much else in the car but sleep. We stopped halfway there Monday night, since we started out at nearly dinner time. Tuesday, we finished the trek to Greensboro, NC. We had dinner with some family who live in West Virginia, and it was nice to reconnect.

      Wednesday, we had time with all the family that came out from 9:30-10:15 am, before the funeral service at 10:30. Afterwards we had a luncheon for just the family, which again was nice to sit talk and reminisce. We left there around 2 o’clock and decided to drive straight through. We made it to my grandparents house at 12:45 am Thursday. I was dropped off at 1:20 am and said goodbye to my parents at 1:30.

      Overall, it was a good trip, though we did have some problems at each hotel we stayed at, which was one reason we drove straight through instead of stopping. But it was nice to sleep in my own bed with Dale and Bella again. It was the best sleep I’d gotten all week.

       Thursday afternoon, after a nice LOOONG sleep, I slipped on the bathroom step and fell hard on my right side. I’m okay, a little bruised and sore, but doing ok. I also had an issue with the FedEx driver who decided to leave the two awkward, heavy boxes on the wet lawn instead of using a dolly and putting them in front of our door, and knocking. 🙄 It was literally ten feet from where they dropped them and there was plenty of room for them to do so.

     Then I spent the afternoon cleaning, taking the 2 old chairs, which were starting to fall apart, out of the apartment, and putting together the new loveseat we got for a steal during a father’s day sale. I’m loving the heat and vibration of the seat along with sitting beside Dale and not feeling ten thousand miles away anymore.

      Friday, I woke up so sore from the road trip, the fall, and the cleaning that it was hard to move. A shower helped, but I was still very sore especially in my right knee, which didn’t get hit, but was wrenched/jarred when I fell. I did the usual errands though, and had the evening to relax.

      Today, Saturday, is my one day to relax and breathe a little without having to go anywhere or really do anything. I’m planning to game while chatting with my best friend from College, AJ. Then Sunday, we’re going to meet Dale’s sister, Rachel, for lunch and meet her boyfriend, which will be another smaller road trip of a bout 2.5 hours... if we don't hit traffic.

The work Life:

Writing:

      Cookies & Rage was at 66,000 exactly, and is now at 73,135 as I wrote 7,135 words over the weekend. Macha’s book (tentative title: Life After You) was 19,635 and is now 26,880 as I only got to write 7,245 words while we were traveling. Which brings the total words written to 14,380 for the week. Not too bad.

     For the 150^th blog, I asked for requests and only got one. A Main Character Line up from Matt. I worked on it yesterday with him in more detail and here’s the results! Zoom in to read all the little plaques.
