Weekly Newsletter 158: August 16

       This week was calm and relaxing. Gratefully so, since my body has been getting back to normal after last weeks procedure. BUT The BIG 555 SALE has begun! Author's Life:

      Nothing new to report for this week. I had a routine of working (on writing and art), while relaxing and/or exercising. Yep, I’ve started a new exercise routine, one I can do rain or shine, heat or snow, and hopefully easy enough on my knee that it won’t cause issues. I’ve been doing it for a week, without issue 🤞🏼. I’ve also been focused on advertising the sale and the new book on social media which takes more time than I would like, but I need to spread the word.

The work Life:

Writing:

     Since finishing C🍪🍪KIES & R🤬GE, I’ve been working mostly on A DANGEROUS GAME, with a couple little side project. ADG started this week with 21,721 words, and now has 29,340 words. For a total of 7,619 words. Then the side project, short story was 3,894 words, but that’s all the writing for this week. As I said above I’ve been focused on advertising, social media, and hustling as my friend Mal put it. 

      Total word count for the week: (11,513)

Editing:

     Maxine is working on chunk 1 of DEADLY SIRENS, and she was on Chapter 3 as of Thursday Night. She’s hoping to get the rest done before tonight, and be on Chunk 2 next week!

     After reading the newsletter from last week, and my mini freak out (only 13 days until beta reading), Dee sent me a message Wednesday night, and she’s also editing for me. She’s on chunk 4 now and has found a few little things, but nothing major! (Thank you, Dee!)

Publishing:

     Beta Reading for DEADLY SIRENS starts in 13 days on Friday the August 29^th and goes until September 26^th. I’m done looking for Betas. I’m just going to go with the handful I have. Too worn out with socials to keep talking about it.

Art Feature:

      This week, I have gotten to do art! Some of it, I can’t/won’t show here and those of you who want to see it know where to go, but this piece is for LIFE AFTER YOU, which is the tentative title for Macha’s book. Macha (the sad looking woman in the picture) is Mad Max’s mother and Ronnie’s middle daughter. She is the Fate who speaks only good things… or she used to. After the execution of Feadhna aka Trystan, her husband and mate (The smarmy git in the picture with her), her visions have grown dark and death is all she sees. (More on her book to come at a later date… like 2029-ish)
