Chaotic is the word for this week. I’ve been following my Muse, and letting her jump around Works in Progresses this week, had some doubts about one, rewrote a section, and did a lot of “Office Work” to get this years releases ready to go, plus my body isn’t happy again… It’s been a week.

This year I'm only doing seasonal changes to the picture. For Winter, we have Astrid in the snow.

Author's Life:

      Last weekend, I spent 90% of it formatting, editing, and adding the Dictionary, Cast of Characters, Places and Things of Note, and “Coming Next” to the end of An Angel Enraged (the October release), so that I could get a proof copy printed to red pen edit. I did not realize just how long that process takes. This time, it was over 12 hours, split between Sunday and Saturday, though not equally. 😅 The proof arrived on Thursday and it looks awesome, though I forgot to change the cover from standard matte to glossy.

      I also worked on getting Deadly Sirens ready for pre-order, which drops in 21 days on February 7^th! Are you ready? I’m not yet. Need to make the bookmarks next. 😏

      Besides that, I have had a gastric upset again, and I’m unsure what for this time. I haven’t changed anything and I’m beginning to think (again) that it may be something in the apartment, since I didn’t have any bad reactions while we were on vacation. But I can’t really do anything about that, so treating the symptoms the way I know how, and moving on.

The work Life:

Writing:

      I’ve done no work on A Soulmate of Her Own, still at the same 70,500 and I had a bit of a slow down in Ballad of the Winged Wrath, it only went from 20,400 to 25,800 as of last night. I also wrote 4,548 more words into Kalista book 10, bringing it to 8,235 words. Then I edited books 8 and 9, adding a combined total of 647 words to them. So all in all I’ve written a good chunk of words this week, not as many as last week though. I've been too meh for speedy concentrated writing.

      Total word count for the week: 10,595 words

Editing:

     Matt had appointments this week, so we didn’t get to edit more of Fated Angel, but we WILL get back to it this week.

       Both Deanna and Delilah have finished editing Cookies & Rage and it is ready for Beta readers in February! Have you signed up yet? Delilah has also been alpha reading/editing a few other books for me, cause I needed to talk to someone else about them, but we’re keeping those under wraps for the moment. 🤐
