It’s been a whacky and not so great week, and I’m unsure what fresh hell I’ve ended up in, but my body is not happy with me and I'm blaming the weather for part of it. Gaming, reading, and writing have been my escape from this mess.

This year I'm only doing seasonal changes to the picture. For Winter, we have Astrid in the snow.

Author's Life:

      My body has thrown new and weird symptoms at me all week. From migraines that return after hours and meds to my bad knee feeling like it’s not sitting correctly or nearly giving out (I blame the snow for this) and a wicked bout of vertigo after my usual Wednesday nap (Blaming the geo magnetic storms for this), it’s been a bad week.

       During that bout of vertigo that lasted 12-16 hours, I spent my time reading the newest Harry Dresden novel “Twelve Months” by Jim Butcher, and I absolutely loved it. I always love coming back to new books in a series that I enjoy. It’s like visiting with old friends. That is also why I write longer series too… Cause writing feels the same way when it’s a character I’ve come to know and love.

      I also spent yesterday going out into the mini snowstorm, that's typical for our area at this time of year, to prepare for the big snowstorm that's currently sweeping the United States and headed our way. 

The work Life:

Writing:

      Last week, Ballad of the Winged Wrath was 25,800 words, this week it’s now 37,375 words as of last night. I also wrote 3,121 words into Kalista book 10, bringing it to 11,356 words. I got in a good chunk this week, AND I've NEARLY passed my word count goal of 50,000 for the month! Only 1,176 words left (and I'll finish that in about an hour-ish).

      Total word count for the week: 14,696 words

Editing:

       Matt and I finally got back into the Fated Angel! He finished editing Cookies & Rage on Wednesday, and we got through 4 more chapters of The Fated Angel on Thursday night and didn’t get into it last night as I wasn’t having a great night after being out running errands. Only 17 more chapters to go though!

      I’ve only edited a few pages of An Angel Enraged… Due to migraines and health issues which made me unable to focus on editing like that.

     Today’s picture is a random one that I created of Kalista. I’ve done a few like it in the past, but I do love how this one turned out. Kalista standing in a random graveyard silhouetted by the moonlight, wearing her signature leather pants and corset, holding her scythe, and, this time, glowing as she stretches her powers out, probably searching for her target. Why do I keep coming back to Kalista like this standing in a graveyard? Because it was the first clear image I had of her, and because the goth in me just loves this image.
