Executive Decisions
I’ve had to make an executive decision this week, and if you follow me on social media you already know, but if you don’t, as Matt would say, “read on, McDuff!” (which I’ve just been told is sort of a quote from Macbeth.)

Author's Life:
All work and no play for me again… No news is good news? About the most exciting thing for me this week (outside of writing) has been that we’re getting a new bed. Our old mattress has gotten uncomfy as of late. It is 13 years old after all.
Besides that, I’ve gotten in the bookmarks for Deadly Sirens, a “freebie” for my table at Book Bash, and I’m still a bit nervous about the convention… I’m excited to see my friend who is going with me though!
Editor Update:
Matt’s been home a whole week and a day! It’s been nice to have him back, he’s getting stronger every day, and we’re all happy to have him getting back to his usual bantering self, though he’s still waking up with negative spoons. That’ll happen when recovering from a major surgery, which ties into the announcement down in the Publishing portion of Work Life.

Writing:
Still writing like I’m running out of time with FATED TO DIE, I’ve hit 90,000 words and it’s still not done yet😅. This weeks’ word count went from 62,583 to 94,260 which means I clocked in nearly 32k words this week!

Editing:
The print of AN ANGEL ENRAGED arrived yesterday and I handed it to Dad when he dropped Dale off! Matt and I finished reading THE FATED ANGEL on Monday and started directly into DEATH, DESIRES, & INNER DEMONS and we’ve gotten to chapter 12 of 21, while Lilah got to edit THE FATED ANGEL, which she’s finished too. Now I have to get all the extras written into it so I can send it off to Dee for the next batch of edits!
Publishing:
✨Beta Reading has ended!✨
Beta Reading for COOKIES & RAGE is supposed to be over…
Even with work issues, computer issues, health issues (Matt nearly didn’t finish for the first time, but he did), and issues with root, 5 completely finished the reading! though only 4 completed all 4 surveys. I’m still short a couple, but that’s ok. They’ll come in when things are working again. 😅
Those who have finished absolutely LOVE it!
Special Announcement for Deadly Sirens:
Due to Matt not having energy or brain power, and he didn’t have many before surgery, the eBook for Deadly Sirens isn’t finished. He was 1/3 of the way through fixing the footnotes before surgery. I’ve pushed the release of the eBook version to April 23rd since I have to have the book in 11 days before the "expected" release date and we figured he wouldn't be able to get it done in the next week, due to recovery. This is perfectly fine, it just means y'all get a little more time to Pre-Order the eBook version.
Signed copy pre-order has ended though.
