Author's Life:
Easter was good, it was nice to hang out with family for a bit after a long winter. Monday I recouped with editing. Tuesday, I was in a brain fog and did chores, cooked, and gamed but no words. Wednesday… it didn’t go well.
I had to see the dentist cause my mouth/gum sore is back. I’ve been trying to get into a dentist that takes our insurance for a couple weeks, but after calling more than a dozen, I gave up and booked an appointment with Aspen Dental since their initial visit (Imagery and consultation) is only $29. I should’ve had an appointment on Wednesday, but I got books in and had to deal with KDP Customer service, which is enough to drive anyone to drink, then my phone took me to the wrong spot. I rescheduled for Thursday an hour later, but I got in and done.
As for results of imagery, talking to the hygienist and the dentist there… I’m not happy. I have gingivitis in the back specifically. I’m gonna need a couple root canals, have a tooth infection (for which I have antibiotics), and also need an extraction of one. But, I have a referral to a place that will take my insurance or at least they did last we checked. Fingers crossed that they’ll get into contact with me soon as the Referring Dentist is the one who contacts them initially. Hopefully, they’ll contact me this week, because I need this taken care of ASAP.
A cool thing: I took The Fated Angel, which I’m red pen editing, and a few of the staff asked about my books. They also got my QR code from my shirt as I didn’t have any business cards on me. Oops! But they seemed VERY interested, and I didn’t trip over my words too much!
The copies that came in on Wednesday, 2 were damaged during shipping, others were misprinted (my own fault caused by a mistake in the pdf, which is now fixed), and two were damaged before they got into the boxes. So, I had to reorder them >_< They SHOULD arrive on the 24th, I’m hoping they do cause I need them for the Convention. 🤞🏻
Editor Update:
Matt has been home a whole month! He’s finally regaining some spoons, and he got the eBook all finalized, so it came out today! He’s the best!

Writing:
I wrote 4,147 words into A SOULMATE OF HER OWN after the newsletter went out last week… then edited the hell out of other scenes/places in the book, because I hit a bump in the “Small Worlding” issue and may need to redo more things. I’m not happy about it but I have to tackle it after I finish the Angel of Wrath Duology. Why? Because it may directly impact the last part of Lilith’s book, and she won’t let me finish it until I sort it out.
Total word count for the week: 4,147 words
Editing:
DEATH, DESIRES, & INNER DEMONS is done being edited with Matt! I finished FATED ANGEL red pen edits last night too! Matt and I have moved on to the first in the Angel of Wrath Duology and got 1/3 of the way through Book 1: BALLAD OF THE WINGED WRATH (book 2 is still in the writing phase.)

Art Feature:
Yesterday, I was up until 5 am working on this piece of art, because two of these characters weren’t made yet and the third wasn’t in the newest high quality model (like you see below). I needed Xedrix because of something I put out on BSKY yesterday (click here to read) and needed one more character. I had four to choose from so had Google roll a D4, which hit 4 (Xedrix) twice in a row. So, without me prattling on, here are Max, Xedrix, and Molly as a celebration of the Deadly Sirens release!
