It’s Book Bash Day! But for this newsletter, you get the lead up, the preparation, if you will, for the big day as I'll be leaving at 9:30 am (EST) for the New Leaf Event Center. So, read on McDuff!

Author's Life:

      Packages, cleaning, more packages, and friend!! This week has been all about gathering the last-minute items, completing last minute tasks, & waiting on the packages to come in with more books and table items… I had to get a few more rubber ducks. If you follow me on TikTok, you probably know what I’m talking about, but for those who don’t, you’ll see next week 😉

• Monday: edits, cleaning, writing, and website clean up.
• Tuesday: more writing, testing my table set up (see pic below), and art.
• Wednesday: more cleaning, a bit of writing, art, and the BOX OF BOOKS arrived!!
• Thursday: my normal Friday errands, prepped this newsletter, and did one last piece of art. Also, my stickers arrived!
• Friday: the last of my cleaning list, prepped the last things, then, shout out to my Mom, who drove me down to get the rental car for the weekend, because I wasn’t trusting our current car to get that far after the last fiasco that made us miss my sister-in-law’s wedding. AND I drove to get my emotional support extrovert, SLADE from the airport, then we picked Dale up from work, grabbed dinner, and came home. Before we all crashed for the night, we packed the car, so we wouldn’t have to rush in the morning.
• Saturday: Slade and I are off to Conneaut, OH at 9:30! If you see this and are in the area between 1-7pm you should stop by to see us, maybe grab a book too! I’ll have all of my books with me, Including the scratch and dents in case anyone wants to save a bit more.

Editor Update:

     Matt, my emotional support Australian and Manager, is getting better all the time, and we’ve even gotten back to playing Star Wars together to destress after the day. He’s a little bummed this weekend though, cause I’m going to be very hit and miss for communication due to con and then Sunday outing on my little tour of Buffalo. I’ll have to make it up to him.

The work Life:

Writing:

     Well… I accidentally started a new book… again. This one doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s going to delve more into the Court of Fae in the Born Angel Universe, and is now 10,325 words, which were all written in one sitting. Then I finished editing Dirge of the Betrayed and wrote another 6k into it. It now has 22,211 words.

     Total word count for the week: 17,448 words

Editing:

     Again, I’ve not added any red pen edits of Fated Angel… I was a bit busy with other books, cleaning, and so forth. Matt and I have gotten through 5 chapters of A DANGEROUS GAME, and I now have the hard copy of Death, Desires, & Inner Demons (Miseria’s book). I did edit all of Dirge of the Betrayed though, so there is that.

𓆩⚝𓆪 Looking for Beta Readers 𓆩⚝𓆪

Art Feature:

     Given that all but one picture I made this week was not safe for sharing on the newsletter, this week, we have this picture from the newest book. Some of you may recognize the giantess to the left, Frida Victory MacBeth, Luke MacBeth's "little" sister from Cry Havoc or Deadly Sirens where she cameos... I have written about 46,000 words of a story for her but got stuck. I'm hoping to finish that this year too.

    Anyhow, to the right is the FMC of the new book (that has no title yet), who was briefly seen, though not named, in Cry Havoc as well. Her name is Sapphire, due to her naturally blue hair. Yes, that is her natural hair color as she is technically a Fae of the Unseleighe Court. More on that later, but this a depiction of their first meeting, which has been written.
