5th Year Anniversary!

This year marks the 5th Anniversary of the release of my debut novel, A Born Angel, and I’ve decided, in all my infinite wisdom, to release an anniversary edition! Read on to find out why, what's different, and the goodies there will be!

New header has a damask background with the new logo in the middle and fiery wings to either side.
In the foreground are the books, Currently released to the Left and coming soon on the right!

Author's Life:

Life in a walking boot is rough, but I’ve been editing in hopes of finishing another book, handling big decisions, reworking our budget, and my OCD got to me.

First, We can no longer hem and haw about a new car. As you all know, our car has been on its last leg for basically the whole year. It just hit 200,000 and has cost us over $2k this year alone to repair things that’ve broken (the rack, struts, brakes, rotors, etc.). It also currently needs to have a tire sensor and a gasket seal of some sort (something to do with the EVAP sensor) replaced before it would pass inspection next month, which would’ve cost nearly another $1k due to rust, wear, and where the seal that needs replaced is.

So, While I was out grocery shopping with my mom yesterday, we stopped into the dealership/shop she bought her current car from, and they happened to have a Subaru Crosstrek. It only has 60k miles on it. I took a chance and had them run the numbers. I let them know that I needed to check with my husband, but when I got home, I went back over our budget, cleaned up a few things, and with the new budget, it’ll cover both the car payment, AND our health insurance too! so I won’t have to worry about making commissions for that anymore.

Second, I am keeping commissions and the monthly goal going to help with medical bills accrued from my ankle (doctors, boot, and brace) plus the last car repair from the Santa Fe which we’re still hurting from.

Lastly, for the big news:

To celebrate the 5th Year Anniversary of A Born Angel, I’m going to be releasing an anniversary edition of the first 3 books! Yes, all 3 of them. I decided this because they’re supposed to be a trilogy, but A Born Angel doesn’t match A Brave Sacrifice or A Broken Redeemer. So, I’m remaking the cover of book 1 with a warm tone, I never quite liked how the 3rd looked, AND the 2nd would look odd, seeing as all the other covers have the Genesis 9 model, which released just before book 4. Logically, I had to redo book 2’s cover as well.

October Sales/funds Goal:

(Edited) October Goal: $400

Progress: 36%

This month goal break down for transparency:
$200 help alleviate some of the last car repairs
$200 medical bills from ankle

When this goal is met:

I’ll write up a Short Story from Chaos's POV as she won the “character contest” poll that I ran a few months ago. AND I’ll host a raffle for anyone who contributes to the goal. Winner will get a free chibi drawing.

How to contribute and enter the raffle

📚 Buying stock books (I have 47 paperbacks), and ebooks too from my website or anything (books or digital pictures) from my Ko-fi shop. This is the cheapest for you and quickest buy-to-bank for me.

☕  Commissioning me via Ko-fi for Digital Art! I currently have sale listings for 16x9 character portraits (which can be used for Book Covers: 6 slots available) for only $50, and Chibi profile Pics for $20 (4 slots available).

🖼️ Or donate on Ko-fi or through my paypal.me link (though, I'd rather you just buy art or something in the shop🥺I feel like a burden and indebted if people just donate.)

The Books:

Writing:

This week I was working solely on Dirge of the Betrayed (Angel of Wrath Duology, book 2), and trying to get back into writing it, but then my brain sidetracked into the first Kalista Chronicles Trilogy and not have to focus on editing that, cause there are always somethings that slip through, and writing the epilogue for it. 😈

Total word count for this week: 3,441

Editing

I STILL haven’t edited more of A Dangerous Game (Kalista book 8). I did edit ALL of Ballad of the Winged Wrath (Angel of Wrath Duology, book 1) and the 7-ish Chapters I had of Dirge of the Betrayed (Book 2), which will both release in 2028!

Beta Reading Update!

Art Feature

As promised! Here is a GORGEOUS picture of Kalista, if I do say so myself. This is the same environment and pose I had for the Cover of the book, but I needed to zoom in and to get a better look at the material for her lips, because I fixed the color, due to her looking pale and “washed out”. This will be one of the Art Pieces for the Bundle Pre Order of The First Kalista Chronicles Trilogy, which I hope to drop on Sunday night or Monday.

Feel free to leave me a comment at the bottom of the page about what you thought or if you had a question. I'll answer them when I can.
