Editing, Editing, Art!

Editing takes a long time when you decided to pick apart sentences, phrasing, grammar, and making a book better than it was the first time around… Even though the first time was good. Also, Next week’s going to be a little different here on the Newsletter: Scroll on to learn more!

New header has a damask background with the new logo in the middle and fiery wings to either side.
In the foreground are the NEW COVERS for the books, which I showed off on my social media this week, along with the bookmarks, stickers, rubber duckies, LIMITED EDITION Tee Shirt, & Collector's Slip Case!!

Author's Life:

Not much to say this week. Still prepping for the rerelease and trying not to get any more angry with Amazon for taking longer to print and ship books than usual. That being said. I won’t be getting the pre-orders of An Angel Enraged out on time due to Amazon’s shenanigans.

First being the faded first batch of prints, and then the delayed printing of the next set. I’m annoyed that this is now making it so I can’t get the books to those who pre-ordered on time.

Anyhow! As I’ve been editing A Brave Sacrifice (I just finished last night!) I’ve found some quotes that made me grin. So, I’m gonna share them with you in hopes that you’ll go pre-order the Anniversary addition and maybe get all the goodies to go along with them.

Quotes from A brave Sacrifice:

•     “I see you’ve learned to hold your tongue. When did you get so smart, oh wise one?” he asked from his pillows.
“When I stopped listening to you,” I said, loud and clear. His harem scattered like ash in the wind of his scalding anger and his left eye twitched.
•      “I recognize that pain in your aura. What has the git done now?”
“That’s a longer list than I care to recite.”

•      “I was having a nice time all by myself with my book and my tea. You lot had to go and ruin it with your necking and your blackmail." ~ Spike

•     “Thank you for not telling him, Zeb,” Beryx said...
“I’m his son. I don’t have to tell him anything,” he (Beelzebub) winked at me before disappearing.

•      “No shit, Sherlock. What have you heard from Watson? Does he know you’ve left Baker Street again?” I sassed, unable to hold back.

Announcement:

Next Week's newsletter is going to be an interview style with Kalista as this is the 5 Year Anniversary of A Born Angel and it happens to fall on Saturday! So, I'll have a fun little write up with pictures to go along with it for that day. Going to be working on that, and commissions (due to medical bills, see below), this week before I start editing A Broken Redeemer

October Sales/funds Goal:

(Edited) October Goal: $400

Progress: $280/70%
STILL NEED $120!

I have a couple more commissions lined up, but could use more support as I just found out my Urgent Care visit for my ankle was $195 and the Orthopedic was $154. >_<

This month goal break down for transparency:
$200 help alleviate some of the last car repairs
$200 medical bills...

When this goal is met:

I’ll write up a Short Story from Chaos's POV as she won the “character contest” poll that I ran a few months ago. AND I’ll host a raffle for anyone who contributes to the goal. Winner will get a free chibi drawing (1 purchase = 1 entry).

How to contribute and enter the raffle

📚 Buying stock books (I have 36 paperbacks) all are a bit dinged, so are discounted in the Big Book Bundle and the Created Angel and Kalista Chronicles listing,

📱Buying ebooks from my website or anything (books or digital pictures) from my Ko-fi shop. This is the cheapest for you and quickest buy-to-bank for me. (Pre orders don't count toward the goal)

☕  Commissioning me via Ko-fi for Digital Art! I currently have sale listings for 16x9 character portraits (which can be used for Book Covers: 6 slots available) for only $50, and Chibi profile Pics for $20 (4 slots available).

🖼️ Or donate on Ko-fi or through my paypal.me link (though, I'd rather you just buy art or something in the shop🥺I feel like a burden and indebted if people just donate.)

The Books:

Writing:

This week I’ve added quite a few words to A Brave Sacrifice! And um… accidentally started another book I’ve temporarily titled the Clueless Cowboy and the Melancholy Musician… About two characters in the Afterlife. ANYWAY, that’ll all make sense later.

Total word count for this week: 3,799

Art Feature

As I said in the Intro, I’ve been making some sad but pretty art this week, which was spurred by the start of the new WIP. I made 5 pictures… I’m only going to show you one though. You’ll have to wait for the rest when I drop them on DeviantArt.

Feel free to leave me a comment at the bottom of the page about what you thought or if you had a question. I'll answer them when I can.
